Default New Prophecies Ranger.

I've just made a prophecies ranger, i want to make necro as my secondary profession.
Ive been playing guildwars for ages, i have a level 20 ele/rit a level 19 ele/mes
and a level 16 assasin/something, they are the only chars ive bothered to do much on, i have all 3 campaings and eotn.
The problem is that i got as far as accepting the quest where you have to talk to devona, then i did the rez sig quest, after that i just though that i couldnt be bothered to go through it all again cos i must have started loads of chars before.
I wanna continue playing as my level 1 ranger,(lol!) but im just not sure what to do! does anyone have any great build ideas, advice, money and exp guides?
PLEASE HELP!
edit: oops i posted 2 of the same thread!

Well if you want to advance, you gotta do those quests. As for a build for r/n, I can only think of touchers, and those are pretty lame. For pve you'd probably just splinter barrage everything and for pvp just spam dshot and stuff like that. Spreading poison helps.

1. If you have been playing for AGES you should have more than 1 level 20
2. Your level one and worrying about builds, farming and xp?
3. Play the damn game.

If you've been playing for ages I'd sure as hell hope you knew a little bit of something about the game. What you need to do is just explore and make your own stuff up, never ask people here for suggestions, half the time they aren't worth anything.

I've had only one lvl 20 pve char for years... Am I noob now?

Anyway on-topic; just do some quests, follow the storyline, run around; enjoy the view. Just generally play the game.

R/n can be great.......if you use all-ranger skills

Very little can be given you in the way of builds for the pve part of the game because they depends on what skills you have available.

Also some of the skills like those from the eye of the north and those given by the Kurzics and Luxons depend on your level in those skills to be effective.
The game hase become far more complex than it was a year ago.

Really you need to have a plan
Decide what you need to go for first finishing a campaign titles farming vanquishing etc.

Look through the builds on guildwiki to get a reasonable effective build, if your short on some of the skills for the build find out where you can get them.

There are few if any alternatives to just playing the game and becoming skilled in using your character.

Don't ask 'how do I play x profession'. Familiarise yourself with the General Campfire Guidelines before posting.
